Optional input field for hidden controls

I've run into a scenario where I have to use the "hidden input" colour picker, and thought it would be extremely handy to be able to have the input within the actual panel that pops up when you click the input.

This way the user could still select an exact value if they had one in mind, or at least know the value of the colour they've chosen.
