Would it be possible to add suport for the Icom PCR 2500 and PCR 1500? I have both radios so can assist with testing. I can also supply details about the serial protocol if required. I appreciate they are older radios but I have both set up on my desk and it would be nice to access them remotely

I am intrested in your scripts and wonder if the Uniden BR330T (UBC3500XLT) also can be remote controled with your program.
Please can you tell me what to do when i have downloaded your program.

@blackwellj ,Thanks for your message and I don't want to disturb you when you're busy. Sorry for that. Quick question, does RC scanner work on the Raspberry Pi 3b?
I got several python programs for remote scanner Uniden BCD396T working with some modification ( i no some Python). Is it worth trying RC scanner. If so what is the easiest way to install it?

Thanks for another answer and greetings and won't bother you with further questions.
Ger

Don't worry, you're not disturbing... by busy I meant don't expect any new code soon.

I haven't tried to run it on RPI, but it should work. I'm using the naudiodon which works on RPI according to its README.md.

You can give it a try. The installation instructions are in the Quick start section of the README.md.

Hi Chrystian, thanks for the replay.
I keep now following you because i am listen for more then 45 years to the scanners. Listning is no more the same as for years ago. Everthing is digital with coding. I am retired and stil listning to the scanners, i live near to the airport of Amsterdam and the harbor to Amsterdam, IJmuiden. I wil use remote so the scanner can stand near to the antenna because i am living in an appartment where is is not possible to place antenna outside the balcony.
I am going to try your program and let you no.
Thanks for taking time for me

Ger

@chuot Would you have any interest in adding functionaltiy for the above radios? I can provide documentation about the appropriote API and can conduct testing

@blackwellj Time is the problem, as I am well overbooked at the moment. You can indeed email me all the documentation, which I will review, but I don't expect any new code until mid-summer. Hope you can understand.
