Connecting nodes to already connected input?

When trying to connect an output node into a compatible input node that is already connected, I first need to remove that connection and then I can connect it
coming from other graph editors this is intuitive

a more concrete example:
given the page attribute example on https://flume.dev/
I would expect that connecting "Email" from the "CURRENT USER" Node directly to "Page Title" in the root node will override it's current connection
