Bug Description

There is some interaction issue with the hover editor plugin https://obsidian.md/plugins?id=obsidian-hover-editor.
When hovering over a non-existing link the plugin is triggered, resulting in either opening a quick switcher modal or (worse) opening a new/different note.

To Reproduce

Enable Hover editor plugin
preview link to non-existing note

Obsidian Version

1.1.4

Which editor are you using?

  • New Editor
  • Legacy Editor
