Using appimage

Trying out Chigraph via appimage: perhaps I missed a 'how to' somewhere but I'm stuck. I did manage to figure out that you need to create a workspace folder with an empty file called '.chiworkspace', and created a lib and src folder. Created a main module... but now I'm stuck. I suspect that none of the built in functions are included with the appimage, but since I couldn't find much of any docs I'm just stuck.
