CheatEngine 7.5 not loading (searching) process

I've been scouring the internet, hoping someone has gotten a solution to my problem, but to no avail.
I recently updated to v7.5 and since then CE can't load a process.
I tried loading Far Cry 3 and it was stuck loading the process. I uninstalled CE and reinstalled it, with the hopes that it'll fix it.
I ran the tutorial just to make sure everything works as intended, but CE doesn't even want to load the Tutorial Process

Try running ceregrest.exe. You will find it either in CE's start menu listing or in CE's installation directory.

Note: Doing this will remove CE's registry entry and all changes made to CE's settings.

I couldn't find ceregrest.exe, although I found ceregreset.exe and ran it.
It stated "Successfully reset the settings of Cheat Engine", yet when I ran CE again, the problem persisted.
