I am using Linux Mint. I want to change the default hotkey for Cerebro from 'Control + Space' to something else. I see the option in the Preferences but I am not able to change the value. The textbox seems unresponsive. I click in the inputbox, but anything I type is not reflected there. Anyone else facing the same issue?

Yes, version cerebro-bin-0.11.0-1 here - it seems labelled as 'fixed' in 2022, but the fix hasn't been merged.

KDE 5.29.7 here - cannot interact with any window after opening from tray, or shortcut, or preferences.
