I'm pretty sure that it should be possible to build and run test binary with specified features with cargo2nix, but unfortunately I couldn't figure this out.

Happy to make a documentation PR with some pointers.

Check the CI to find the test attribute. Since the test binary is a requirement, you will find it upstream of that attribute.
