I get this error, I know it was fixed in version 1.7.3 but I use this version.
my BTCPay Server version: 1.7.3.0+09d5f5a08

for what it's worth, i'm getting this error in the latest version as well, and a 504 Gateway Time-out after 60 seconds while browsing invoices.

update: switching to bitfinex seems to have solved the issue for us.

Could be that they have some kind of geoip blocking going on or just block some IP ranges due to DoS or for whatever reason. If it would be a permanent problem many more people would complain. According to their status page no outages the last 30+ days. Anyway nothing we can do as it works generally.
