At least, it seems slow compared to what it should, and/or to the speed of the compression side.

Any way to speed it up? Write in chunks? Write all-at-once?

Need to profile the decompression operation....

Version with ~3x accelerated decompression is available at v.decomp-speed, for eventual incorporation into a future release.
