When trying to install the latest deb installer it keeps trying to install firefox from the debian repo's rather than using the stand-alone version I have installed in /opt/.

I'm not sure package managers generally support checking for custom-installed versions of the thing they're installing? Fro example, should the installer check for something like which firefox and fail on an existing binary?
