Update situation transparency, some basic advisory as to project's future [I guess it counts as a feature]

I think the update situation is getting a bit dire, which is liable to eventually start impacting user privacy and security.

Migrating tabs and logins and bookmarks to a different browser (cromite, etc.) is often a pretty involved process for mobile users (especially privacy conscious ones)

I have been postponing such a migration (because honestly, no idea how to move 80 tabs between bromite and cromite without using some nastiness like google account sync, even with root it seems like a very tricky thing to do) but I am increasingly worried it will only be made harder as cromite is getting further removed from current bromite state.

Thus it would be nice to know if project is in a "disaster, abandon ship" state or not

Describe the solution you would like

It would be very nice if some contributors provided at least most basic transparency into the situation and a general advisory as to whether users should begin moving to other browsers due to lack of future updates

Describe alternatives you have considered

Well, I considered moving to another browser without opening this issue, but I like bromite and I would like to stay on it... yet 6+ months without updates feels me with deep worry

I don't have that much to migrate but i haven't found anything to use while waiting for a new update that i like, do you have any suggestions of something similar to bromite

Pretty sure its a universal apk for both armv7 and armv8. Its a fork from bromite which worked on v7 so i dont really see why this should be any different. Did you try installing it?

I wish, sadly, it isn't, it is an armv8 only build, manly because the way uazo builds cromite (with sysbox) just doesn't like building for armv7
