Describe the bug

As first described in #2389, in the latest version, using the Open URL in Bromite option in the share menu, or the Open in Bromite option in a custom tab intent, opens the URL in a new tab, but the UI (the whole top bar) becomes completely unresponsive, necessitating a restart.

The options menu is accessible via haptic buttons and is responsive, but the rest of the top bar remains unresponsive, and opening a new tab can make the top bar disappear completely.

This seems to happen on the second time doing either method after a restart and can be replicated reliably.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Pick option to share URL
  2. Choose "Open URL in Bromite"

or:

  1. Open URL in a custom tab intent
  2. Choose "Open in Bromite" from the options menu

Expected behavior

The UI should stay responsive.
