Hmm... kind of a lame githubber - thought i commented here yesterday but it isn't here...

So: OKCandidate. Some journo coder types worked on a similar thing in 2012 http://techcrunch.com/2011/12/16/okcandidate-snags-okcupids-approach-tells-you-who-to-vote-for/ with code here https://github.com/albertsun/okcandidate. I need to email Albert Sun and ask him what happened...

That code is a bit stale, but will pull out the relevant bits.

@sandrafish this algorithm doesn't support open text. For example, a question/answer format like this wouldn't work for this approach. We need to go with questions that have a finite number of answers or give people a little more leeway, perhaps place themselves along a spectogram.
