Documentation bug on tutorial #1724
Comments
I have same bug. I don't see "Bndtools Hub" so i can't go through point 4.2 |
I had the same problem. In order to solve it I had to download a newer version org.apache.felix.src (i.e. version 2.0.12) to my local repository and use this one instead of the one provided by the central repository. It seems to be an official bug of the 2.0.6 version I found it mentioned in some forums which deal with the same problem. The local repository is located in my eclipse workspace at "workspace/cnf/local" this depends how you setup the osgi configuration. There I put the jar file "workspace/cnf/local/org.apache.felix.scr-2.0.12.jar". After that I had to refresh my workspace and repositories. the bndtools should then take automatically the local version of this src package. After that I was able to continue with the tutorial |
seeing this issue is resolved as "someday". Is there anywhere else that is recommended to look for an actual working tutorial? If someone can assist me to get this working I would be happy to update the tutorial pages, with new screen shots etc. |
I think it is @njbartlett that is the author of this tutorial. |
I have no time to fix the old tutorial, sorry. I will remove it and redirect to the OSRi R7 enRoute tutorials when they are ready. |
download cmpn 5.0.0 to local repositisory after go change project cmpn version to 5.0.0 |
Hello,
While going through the tutorial I encountered a problem at step 5 which I think is probably because the tutorial is outdated. When I click on 'Resolve' or save with auto-resolve I get the following error:
Unable to resolve <> version=null:
missing requirement osgi.cmpn
-> Unable to resolve osgi.cmpn version=6.0.0.201505202027:
missing requirement &(must.not.resolve=)(must.not.resolve!=)]
I followed the tutorial twice until this step and get the same error. When I select 'osgi.cmpn' in 'Run Requirements', I only find it under 'Central' and not under 'Bndtools Hub' as described. I don't have no 'Bndtools Hub'. Anyway, the described error happens when selecting osgi.cmpn form 'Central'.
Thanks!
