Galister here has taken to forking Raphiiko's oyasumi overlay with some added features in prep for some upcoming software and we figured this may be of interest to you https://github.com/galister/ovr_overlay_oyasumi

This can effectively help map OpenXR overlays to OpenVR when it's available but otherwise allow you to use the native OpenXR API for all else.

With this LOVR can be utilized to make SteamVR overlays, massively lowering the bar for these kinds of applications from their current C/C++ mountaintop.
