Hi, I wanted to share opportunities to fund ChemPy coding or documentation through Google Summer of Code or Google Season of Docs. ChemPy's dependency SymPy has participated in both in past years. These would be chances to use grant funding ($3K-6K for code, $5-15K for docs) to pay a coder or technical writer to work on ChemPy.

The ChemPy team would need to submit proposals, mentor, and evaluate results.

I think that is a great idea. I've actually participated as a GSoC student for SymPy a couple of years back. The community around SymPy is significantly bigger at the moment though, but I guess all projects have humble beginnings. The idea has been floated before (I can't remember exactly where).
