Colonies on blood agar are small, circular, low convex, grayish, and smooth. Glucose broth cultures are moderately turbid with a smooth sediment. Colonies on BUA+B agar acquire a size of approximately 1mm in diameter after 4–5 days incubation at 37˚C, and are grayish-white in appearance, circular and concave. Cells range in size between 0.6 and 2.5 µm, and exhibit variable forms (from circular, ellipsoid to droplike shapes). "
