Does BF support sbus on softserial?

I tried to verify that if ELRS(sbus inverted) is working with F405 soft serial pin(UART_Rx for test).

a) It works well using UART_Rx ping + ELRS(sbus inverted signal), so there is no hardware connection issue.
b) configure tab ==> softserial enabled
c) assign UART_Rx ping to soft serial rx pin resource SERIAL_RX 11 A03
d) disable UART2, use soft serial 11 for receiver in port tab

The result is sbus(inverted signal) is NOT detected.

using cloud build with sbus and USE_SOFTSERIAL.

Using SBUS on SOFTSERIAL is not supported / recommended. See https://oscarliang.com/betaflight-soft-serial/
For custom defines you need to omit the USE_ part.
SOFTSERIAL is already part of the platform config.

Yes I did noticed config in "./src/main/target/STM32F405/target.h:37:#define USE_SOFTSERIAL"

Anyway, I did build with following configuration when do a cloud build. But failed with sbus soft serial test.

I have two question here.

1. It seems the code(softserial) is supporting SUBS. sbusinit--> openSerialPort --> openSoftSerial
2. what do you mean by "For custom defines you need to omit the USE_ part." Did I do wrong with following cloud build?

I got 2) this. Anyway, softserial should have been build with the firmware.

Yeah, I'm quite confused about "Using SBUS on SOFTSERIAL is not supported / recommended."

It seems betaflight dev plan to no longer maintain the soft serial sbus related code (so let it be as it is, not recommended), right?
