How to reproduce

  • SMK version I'm using: "version": "0.8.1-MVP",

  • Browser (with version) I'm using: Chrome, IE, Firefox

  • OS/Platform (with version) I'm using: Windows 10

  • configure a search based on a WMS layer: Schools K- 12; make City (locality) a drop-down

What behaviour I'm expecting and which behaviour I'm seeing

-when the site is loaded I expect to see values populate in the drop-down box
-what I see is "No choices available" and it never refreshes to "No value selected"

Minimal example reproducing the issue

  • load the site and the drop-down box fails to populate
  • I expect to see a drop down populated with names sorted alphabetically (100 Mile House to Zeballos)
  • this issue was fixed adhoc by editing the smk.js file in the francophone site:
    http://francophone-qa.apps.gov.bc.ca/francophone/
    as detailed here:

Future product development should look at amending the code that writes smk.js so that it can handle a large list of values
