Hi,

it would be great if nms would detect when input comes with ANSI color sequences, and would keep the original colors in that case. An example would be ls -al --color=yes

I second this! Or at least strip them out if you find them in the output of the command. Looks pretty terrible with them just being displayed:

(Ignore the discoloration on the screenshot—sometimes my screenshotter captures the selection highlight as well).

Also this magic feature would allow to stack nms atop lolcat! Like in
lolcat ~/my_hacker_thingamajig | nms
