I'm using a XE303C12 chromebook and while it does work offline, making a new note offline is not possible. Is there any fix to this or do I really need to be online to make a new note?

Hey can you please share if there are any console errors . Also some screenshots will be helpful.

I disconnected my internet to see if works offline and everything is ok so far for me except making a new note

I see that you are trying to create in bangle-help , can you please create a new workspace ( by clicking the settings icon at bottom left) and let me know if creating notes in new workspace works?

It seems I've run into another problem that it won't generate a new workspace. I'm starting to think it's because of the old browser version of the chromebook I have.

It would be helpful for me to triage the error , if you could share the error while creating the workspace.

There's no error appearing in the console nor a get request to generate a workspace. These functionalities work with my other computer but not in this one.

Other things that I tried were: opening it on incognito, trying to open a backup file with a new workspace in it (but I only realized it was pointless to do so because I need a new workspace to open it), and trying the command palette and clicking from the settings icon. I still couldn't generate a workspace.
