For example, this flag emoji 馃嚘馃嚛, is rendered as follows:

Is there a patch to fix this? dmenu also suffers from the same issue.

I believe this would depend on it being implemented in the Xft library. I know that Kitty can render them, not sure of the underlying implementation though.
