I'd request ORCID (https://orcid.org), a service sometimes used for login in academia. An example of a popular tool that uses ORCID for login in https://overleaf.com.

I'd be happy to submit a PR if that's best. They support OAuth 2.0 and OIDC; config at https://orcid.org/.well-known/openid-configuration, announcement (from last October) at https://orcid.org/blog/2018/08/30/orcid-openid-connect-and-implicit-authentication

Hi,

Would you see fit to also support Ory Hydra? This would involve allowing the user to set their own base url, but the rest of the API is fully up to spec for both OAuth2 and oidc.

Thanks
M

Are you open to adding services that are not available to the general public as long as someone contributes support for them via a PR?
