It would be nice to be able to append data to an existing SQL table if the columns of the ATpy table match those of the SQL database (requested by several users)

I support the request, but would also extend to all data formats. Most importantly - hdf5.

It is quite a problem to copy data from sql database to hdf5 if does not fit into memory.
