The recently added warning for the missing pymc3 seems to be not raised when working in a notebook, it needs to be fixed otherwise the error is misleading. It should say install pymc3, instead of the current one:

ImportError: cannot import name 'LinearRegressionwithErrors' from 'astroML.linear_model' (/Applications/anaconda/envs/psylib/lib/python3.7/site-packages/astroML/linear_model/__init__.py)
