argocd repo add error to argo-cd-repo-server service: dial tcp 10.43.42.86:8081: connect: no route to host

hi all, when trying to add a new repo to argocd i get:

argocd repo add https://gitlab.lab.lof.dms/uihkz/baaje.git 
FATA[0000] rpc error: code = Unavailable desc = connection error: desc = "transport: Error while dialing: dial tcp 10.43.42.86:8081: connect: no route to host

does anyone have a clue?
this ip 10.43.42.86 is the ip of the service of argo-cd-repo-server.
when going to the logs of the argocd-server i get:
