@graphql-tools/mock - Pass fieldName to resolver?

Hi all.

I'm using the @graphql-tools/mock together with React Testing Library. I want to assert if a specific field is present.
By default, the mock returns "Hello World" for all String types, but this brings a problem in my case, because how do I know what property is being displayed at all?

So, I manually modified the @graphql-tools/mock in my node_modules, the following line:

@graphql-tools/mock/index.cjs.js

As you can see I'm passing the fieldName as the last parameter in mock

Then, in my custom resolvers, I do this:

String: (root, args, context, info, fieldName) => fieldName

And here is an example of the mocked response:

As you can see it has the fieldName as the value for String types (summary, description, etc...), so I can easily assert the correct text.

I have no idea if this is the right way to do it, but could be a starting point for someone to work on it?

Is it possible to have it implemented?

You can get fieldName from info, maybe?

@ardatan man, when I debugged the info I saw lots of data, the fieldName is the first one and I missed it, I'm so dumb 😂

So, the answer if anyone ever need it, is: String(root, args, context, info) => info.fieldName
