Is this plus symbol meant to be in the template that renders facets:

In the code it is at the start of a line:

archivesspace/public/app/views/shared/_only_facets.html.erb

Line 41 in 7f8953a

    
           +        <span class="less btn">&and; <%= t('search_results.fewer_facets') %></span>

Which makes it look like something accidentally copied and pasted from a diff, or similar.
