What next after Pregel removal? #20677

Hello,

I was hoping to learn more about the removal of Pregel in the upcoming v3.12 ( #20592 ). Namely:

Is there an alternative API that will allow for analysis on large/whole graphs (seeing as the NetworkX adapter is best for smaller subgraphs)
Is there any information regarding why the API has been removed available publicly anywhere?
