The use of HashIds , is no longer a good choice for masking the id's. more cons than pros.
Using the Laravel trait Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Concerns\HasUuids, masking Id's will not be required any more, and will be more inline with best practices and he use of Id's in modern applications,
This change will be breaking change and new version must be released. this may cause backward compatibility.
I think is a good change and needs to be done sometime in the next versions.
