I heard about some changes at the Chrome Dev Summit talk about extensions.

According to an issue on Vimium's Github repo, it doesn't seem like it (at least not as far as I understand). Hence, please don't rush with upgrading to manifest v3 until either w3c figures user-scripts out or you're forced to.

@xprnio thanks for the heads up and links. But yeah, I've been holding off upgrading to manifest v3 for this very reason. Waiting to see what happens with the proposed user scripts API

There's a timeline for manifest v2 deprecation. It's this year: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/develop/migrate/mv2-deprecation-timeline

I'll need to check if the new user scripts API has been implemented and if it's possible to use with Powerlet. Last time I checked, the user scripts API focused on running scripts at page load. But Powerlet runs scripts on user action.
