ui-select examples not working in IE9

To reproduce:

1. Open the examples page here using IE9: http://plnkr.co/edit/#!/a3KlK8dKH3wwiiksDSn2?p=preview
2. Click in the 'bootstrap theme' select box
3. Type the 'A' character

• Expected: 'Augsburg, Germany' should be the item to appear
• Actual: BUG: No items appear

Open up the console and see some unhelpful messages like: 'Error: Access is denied.'

Perhaps related to #90 or #85.
