There's too many presets to keep them in the menu. So additional navigation would be very nice.

This is how it looks in Helm:

presets

(categories — tags — patches, also there's multi-choice)

Btw, Helm is a very nice open source synth with great UI and sound.

This would be a great feature 😀

There was some previous discussion when the project was hosted on Google Code:

Adding categories to all the existing presets would take quite some time, though...

Thanks for the offer; to do this effectively, I think the GUI to assign presets to categories needs to be in place first.

Navigating the presets is even harder when using the LV2 plugin. In Ardour, you have one big list of every preset, not even clustered by its bank. Maybe some sort of bank/preset navigation included in the GUI itself could be a first step here?
