It looks like it will be a bit more complicated than the current LV2 version.

My biggest concern after skimming the spec is the requirement to use XEmbed, which is not something amsynth needs to do for LV2, VST2 or DSSI.

Also amsynth has no concept of note expression, so that could not be supported without significant reworking. Therefore amsynth would probably use plain MIDI 1.0 input initially.
