Thank you for the convenient utility.

qsudo produces nothing after entering the password (in an Arch/Fluxbox system).

A similar utility (gtksu which can be built by Qt5 as well) has started to fail some time ago by the message "username and/or password is incorrect" though they were correct. So same issue might be valid here as well.

Looking for a solution in the web I've come across a very similar issue with another similar (GTK based) utility, ktsuss. And the dev claims to solve it in 4 March 2014, so it must be either of these fixes:

nomius/ktsuss@47d9262
nomius/ktsuss@673aff2

Perhaps help –hopefully!

as you have installed qsudo and how did you start the application with qsudo?

I've compiled it from source… Do you mean compile config option or something like that?

As for starting the app, I've tried to use it in the same way I use gksu, kdesu or gtksu (and by smylinkto to gksu). It was some time ago, but I may try again if you like.

Yes, I've re-built and again, for instance,

qsudo pcmanfm-qt
qsudo qtcreator

nothing happens and terminal produces nothing.

If I just

qsudo

terminal output is this:

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

By the way, on another note, when qsudo window opens the cursor is not in the editing field and one needs to click in it which is not what you've intended I guess as it's annoying.

By the way, the dev of gtksu has solved his issue saying that it was an environment variable issue in Arch.
