Attendee report - Clarification

Hi there,
I've downloaded the attendee report for our event and it showing two statuses against attendees - "CHECKED-IN" or "ACQUIRED".
I've tried to search the documentation on the website and discussions, but can't find what the difference is.
At the event, we manually checked soem attendees in and soem by scanning their QR codes. Is that the difference?

My wrong assumption that attendee report = those who attended the event, rather than those booked to attend the event. "ACQUIRED" is the status given to the ticket of those who've bought the tickets and are planning to attend.

Running the attendee report after the event shows all those checked-in and those who planned to come, but never checked-in.

Might be worth putting in the documentation soemthign around this?
