Oh, thanks for flagging this @GeorgiaHCA! Maybe worth having an ask with TTW community for alternatives? :)

There are a few potential alternatives we could use.

free for our use case/size:

paid:

I get the impression that MailerLite is mostly focused on oldschool newsletters, while the others also have public archives etc. Wordpress has the benefit of being open source.

@Davsarper & @GeorgiaHCA tested Wordpress this morning and it works easy enough and allows multiple admins/editors access to the system, so we'll go with that one for now!

Next steps:

  • adding historical newsletters over to Wordpress, can get markdown formatted ones from GH
  • export Tinyletter subscribers
  • import them to WP
  • send one last newsletter from Tinyletter announcing the move and that we'll move people over unless they object

I moved all the newsletters from TinyLetter to Wordpress! Now it's just a matter of exporting the subscribers!

Okay, i've tried importing our existing subscribers to Wordpress in two batches, the first one is already showing up as imported! Once the final batch is imported we can close this one! 🤞
