We recently installed a fresh Windows 10 desktop and it isn't able to execute the protocol handler.

It gives an error on line 55, so it is related to the ActiveXObject. Seems the object is hidden?

Good to know, but I'm not using Windows myself and therefore I won't be able to help much in solving this.

It would be great if you can change existing code to work on Windows 10 as well.

Don't have any experience over here as well, so you have another option? 👍

Ah. That was me as well. I guess I haven't specified any GitHub credentials on machine I've made that particular commit from and therefore it doesn't recognize me. I've fixed that now and GitHub properly shows me as an author.

I've copy pasted that code from different places on the internet at the time I was working on Windows.
