Before approaching the AGU about possible EOS articles, we would like to build some content in the form of a blog. These blog-articles could then be a starting point for EOS articles. Would you be willing to help contribute to these blogs? Even if you are only interested in doing one, that would be a valuable contribution!

Possible topics could include

  • "software highlights": conversations with developers / maintainers of software packages for the geosciences
  • workflow overview: a discussion of tools in your toolkit and how you use them (e.g. Jupyter, GitHub, ...)
  • ...

Please add your ideas!

These could be cross-posted with other groups/communities, including general software ones such as the SSI, URSSI, IDEAS, etc.

There are also some relevant webinars at https://bluewaters.ncsa.illinois.edu/webinars and https://ideas-productivity.org/events/hpc-best-practices-webinars/, though both are a little more HPC focused than perhaps appropriate for all AGU-OSSI folks
