So this tool is acting more like pgpool2 where it has multiple features besides connection pooling? Also, the versions are still at the 0.x level. Does that mean it is not production-ready yet?

It has a mix of features compared to other pools. This issue is about having pgagroal communicate with other instances in order to provide a full HA setup without other software. At the moment you can use haproxy in front.

The version number is based on a roadmap for features we (as in Red Hat) want to see in a 1.0 release. We have instances of pgagroal running internally already, so look at the features that you need to consider pgagroal for production. Looking forward to your findings ! The next planned release is 1.0, so community feedback will help drive that roadmap.
