Similar to adoptium/infrastructure#2549 a GitHub organization has configuration for which expected settings should be defined to ensure it is consistent and secure.

Organization settings include (but are not limited to):

  • Member privileges
  • Moderation settings
  • Repository defaults
  • GitHub Actions rules
  • Webhooks
  • Authentication requirements
  • Code security settings
  • Verified and approved domains
  • Secrets
  • Third-party application access policies
  • GitHub Apps permissions

The first step is to define and understand the expected settings for the Adoptium GitHub organization. The second step is to adjust it as needed.
