The 3D mirror in VR doesn't show the expected unique view of the world for each eye. What it does give is a flat image that has a greater depth than the mirror object.
Its as though looking through a portal at a TV screen, rather than each element in the reflection remaining in three dimensions.
Its very easy to see when comparing the depth of where the driver helmet is to the rest of the car, or the car seat to something out of the window. They all exist on the same plane.
No combination of settings have I found to get it working as I'd expect it to, including turning off high quality mirrors as mentioned in a previous similar issue.
I'm fairly sure this didn't used to be the case, but it has been like this for a while.
I can understand this being a performance saver, and it might be nice if the option to retain this behaviour was left in if that were the case. It is better in its current state than not having it at all.
