Netflix player not working for tv shows

So I know this project is abandoned, but my library is setup with OpenMeta and it's still functional so I want to keep using it..
Most of the time I use the Seren player and that works great! But I tried the Netflix player tonight and it's not working for tv shows, it gives me an error "video not found". The movies play just fine.
Is that a known bug or is there something wrong on my end?
I've searched online but couldn't find a solution. So I found the Netflix player for TMDB Helper and tried to copy the steps for tv shows, but that didn't work..
I've read the manual to create a player but I just can't figure out how I can track down the steps to play a show.
I added an episode from the Netflix addon to favourites to look for the path in the favourites.xml, it's show/season/episode. So I tried to add that, still no luck..

It's possible the Netflix player for OpenMeta isn't valid anymore, but someone would have to try and fix it...

I wouldn't mind changing the file myself, but I don't know how.. I think the link path is correct, since movies are playing. It's just the steps to play the episodes that could be wrong. But I can't figure out what the right steps should look like? Do you have to figure it out by writing down the steps you take in the addon itself? Or can you find the path somehow with debug logging? The tutorial on how to write a player doesn't really help me cause I'm not a coder at all lol.
