Init mode failed when trying to flash MCU

I'm following the instructions for flashing the MCU. I build the "lego-stlink" target. Then I press "Upload" and it reports this error:

My build:

• Lego black pill w/o any addons
• STM32F411CEU6 + Mini Debugger
• I run Ubuntu 22.04
• OpenOCD 0.11.0
• PlatformIO Core, version 6.1.11

Appreciate any pointers.

Ok, figured it out: I connected wrong wires from stlink to stm32. I assumed that the black wire is the ground... Luckily I didn't fry my chip.
