Zepio could not find a daemon running, please check the logs!

The problem with Zepio wallet, it stacks on launch. I use windows 10 (1903). My version of Zepio 0.7.4.
It worked well till a week ago.

Zepio couldn't find a zcashd.pid, that means there is no instance of zcash running on the machine, trying start built-in daemon

Whatever version the embedded zcashd is using has reached end of support halt (happens after 16 weeks from release). Assuming you are running the latest version this'll need to be updated by the developer or find a compatible version of zcashd elsewhere.

good afternoon, i have tryed the zepio v0.8.0 and the answer is : zepio could not find a daemon running, which is presumably zcashd . I have refound my zcash coins in 2018 using winzec , but now it is 2 weeks that i try again, but it runs continously , showing always the same message overlapped: the daemon is taking longer thjan expected to start and a number , at the moment 42061 , that is perhaps the number of blocks analyzed. It seems that the problem is always the daemon (zcashd) Thanks

@andrerfneves I'm also getting this same issue. Also don't really have any experience or background in all this, so I don't know how to run an external zcashd. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys, i had the same issues and i found a Windows not trick clean solution:
You can run the missing daemon if you install this sofwtare https://github.com/ZcashFoundation/zecwallet/releases
When Zecwallet is launch your Zepio will open correctly too.

I'm having the same issue with v0.9.0 on Mac OS. Everything worked fine a month or so ago. I just fired it up again and I'm getting this issue now.

I've tried restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling Zepio and resyncing (took 2 days). No luck.

I can see zcashd is running in the background.

Any idea how to fix this?

I tried @crasic-byte 's suggestion and ran Zecwallet, but I get a similar error from Zecwallet when starting that up.

If nobody knows how to fix this, does anyone know how I can get access to my funds (I have an offline backup of my wallet.dat file)?
