The Linux, FreeBSD, and OpenBSD HID back ends use a process-global cache of device nodes which failed to open. Access to this process-global cache isn't protected by any lock, so if two threads call CtapHidDevice.list_devices() simultaneously, they may race and corrupt the data structure or crash or similar.
