When hovering over Gammastep tray icon menu points, there seems to be some offset between the mouse and the highlighted menu items:

I have seen this on like all tray menu dropdowns actually.

I'll need to check, maybe some buffer position isn't added properly in Smithay for layer-shell surface popups.

True, it is for all tray icon menus, for me, too.

I don't seem to see this behavior in cosmic, would that rule out a Smithay problem?
