Describe Bug

Windows instalation file [exe file] is marked as virus on Windows 11 so download is aborted. Both files are marked, this one from github and the one from mogan.app download page. I am running only Windows defender, no other antivisur tools.

Expected Behavior

Should not have and not be marked as a virus

Could you provide screenshot of the Windows defender virus report? Are you using Edge?

It seems that it is a generic warning from Microsoft. You need to confirm it is secure and then install it.

I am on Chrome, this is a Chrome screenshot

I confirm suspicious download bud Windows Defender deletes it from my Download folder so I can not install it. As you see I can install the zip version and the previous, 1.2.5. version

Thanks for reporting the bug. I guess it is because the changes of windows installer metadata.

The version mismatch might be the root cause. I will try to fix it in v1.2.5.2.

The installer is packaged by github action: https://github.com/XmacsLabs/mogan/actions/workflows/cd_research_on_windows.yml

It is not packaged by someone. I think it is a wrong report of the windows defender.

I can download v1.2.5.1 without any error using Google Chrome 124.0.6367.202 on Windows 11 23H2

v1.2.5.4 also works fine.
