If we need to transfer tickets to a new owner, the previous owner hangs on to the Edit/Info link and can change information even after transferring the ticket. It should be possible by the organizers to regenerate the tokens when we don't want the previous owner to reclaim the ticket.
For example:
During WordCamp Sylhet 2023, we sent separate reservation links to sponsors. We accidentally shared a reservation link for one company with another, which resulted in them registering tickets from both links until they realized and notified us of this issue. As the organizers are unable to cancel issued tickets, I updated the information on the tickets and gave them to their rightful new owners. However, one employee from the first company didn't know all this and they changed the information back to their own using the Edit link they had on their email.
This resulted in confusion during the registration in the conference and resulted in us not having the pre-printed badge for one of the sponsor tickets.
What opportunities do you see (rationale), and what do you propose to achieve them (objective)?
If there is a mistaken claim on a ticket or registration due to leakage, having this regenerate button or a cancel option for free tickets would be handy for organizers.
